Between Wooden Cracks
on the dock
hide
less desirable things
stale gum and bottle
caps along with dead
baby dragon flies
and moldy sunflower seeds
cigarettes smoked down to the filters
and don't forget the razer
sharp splinters when one dares
to go bare-footing on cloudless
summer days
