by Andrea Byron (1996) Timmy takes his teddy Ted Every night to his bed When he woke with his eyes so wide teddy Ted was not by his side Fear and fright filled Timmy's face poor teddy Ted was not in his place He searched the sheets, he searched the bed but nowhere to be found was his teddy Ted Today Timmy took no one to school He cried so much he could have filled a pool He loved little Ted like his own son there isn't a bear just like that one He hauled off to home with a tear in his eye but then saw his mom with a big surprise I squeezed and I squished without an end Because teddy Ted and I
