Sam Harrigan is a budding young artist and a junior in high school. He has always taken pride in his ability to create, even when his ability to create was rather impeded by the fact that he was four and didn't know how to hold a crayon. Apparently this didn't stop him, because, as you can see, he definitely knows how to hold a crayon now, maybe. He is well acquainted with graphite as a medium, but has yet to find out about color, though it is assumed that he will undergo some sort of Van Gogh-esq metamorphosis into vast chromatic explosions later in his life.
In the meantime, though Sam is busy being inspired by hikes to the tops of mountains, his friends, who he cares for deeply, and the weird and wondrous nonsense of everyday life, and is enjoying every moment of it.
